They say we are influenced by our family and ancestors, and I would have to agree. Growing up I was fortunate enough to live beside my grandparents. My grandmother had emigrated from Denmark and ended up living in Saskatchewan where she met my grandfather and cooked for all the farm hands. Later on, when I came on the scene, our life was rich with family get-togethers, always accompanied by great food and old family traditions. I grew up loving to cook and now have family dinners of my own. Fresh garden produce is another inspiration for paintings.
