created for The Friends of the Lower Grand Coulee Blue Moon Gala. Sketched from statue by Keith Powell that sits on the edge of Soap Lake, I have taken artistic license to create a piece that melds the image of Soap Lake with the unusual Blue Moon that will occur on the night of the gala. This is a commission piece for a very special client and was a lot of fun to do. Secret of the artist....In the dark moon in the right hand bottom side of the painting, I softly etched with the sharp end of my brush handle "Dark Moon" by Bonnie Guitar. Bonnie is a local treasure and put the song on the charts. She will always be a loved part of anything Soap Lake.
